In the windy autumn of 1996, a group of independent theatre actors were on a tour of the west. They liked the country they were in, but not the weather.
Around dinner after playing, the seed was sown: Why not start a savings club with the aim of buying a place in warmer climates, a pleasant place where we can gather when we get old?
The three of them (Paolo, Henning and Lars) brought two friends each and suddenly the Margarita Foundation (since we drank Margaritas after dinner) was a fact. We saved and we saved, many doubted, some members were replaced, but the dream persisted. And became a reality. In the spring of 2013 we bought Casa Margarita on the Costa del Sol in Spain. Now we are opening our little "cultural center" for more friends...
